I realize they aren't - but I've only seen it one other time and its when a client provided me one. It's not something I've ever seen offered by any of the cards I use.

Which I guess kind of goes along with my post as well... Apple manages to take existing technologies and package them and/or make them easy to use for the masses. CITI and Capital One have offered VCC's for probably 10 years now, but their UI is cumbersome at best so adoption rate isn't that high.

This reminds me of 2005 when I started my career. Rates were 5.00%+.

Have used Apple card regularly since 2019 and just experienced my first ever problem.

The issue occurred when I ordered an Apple product from the Apple store, on an Apple device, and paid with the Apple card for the 3% cash back.

Goldman's fraud detection immediately flagged the transaction and blocked my account.

Contacted Goldman customer service to confirm the transaction and get the issue resolved.

Transaction was for less than $600

Goldman wouldn't unblock the account until I changed my apple password and logged out of every device associated with the password, and re-logged back in.

Then they had a rep call my phone to verify some other information over the course of a 10-minute phone call and the account was finally unlocked.

The whole **** up took 2 hrs to get sorted out lock to lock.

Is this a one-off thing or has anyone else had a problem like this?

Getting 4.4% with SOFI right now. Have Ally as well, but like the transaction flexibility better with the former.

Might be more stringent checking to limit losses.

Signed up with SoFi and just assumed it integrated with Quicken.
