Has to be the best checking account/debit card setup I've ever seen.
Can use any ATM and Schwab will refund the ATM fees at the end of the billing cycle.
I found it particularly useful for getting local currency overseas at bank ATMs without having to deal with absurd currency conversion commissions

Yes, I've found it most beneficial overseas...and in Vegas....

Went to Europe several years ago and set up a Schwab checking account for specifically this reason. Very helpful on that trip and other trips and I have never had an issue with reimbursements. I basically only use it as an account to get free ATM withdrawals. I keep about $1,000 in there and the debit card in my wallet so it's like having a $1,000 cash in my pocket at any given time without as much risk of losing the cash or having it stolen.

And as mentioned it's very useful in Vegas where ATM fees can be $15+ per transaction inside casinos.
