I use my Chase card or my Costco card (no foreign txn fee) but hoping to see if there is anything better. We don't travel a whole lot just max twice a year.

Chase Sapphire cards are primary rental car insurance. So they pay off before your normal auto insurance. Luckily, I've never used that "feature".Ags2013 said:
I love my Chase Sapphire Preferred. It paid off big time when we got into an accident with a rental car and the card's insurance paid it off for me.

I would check the hotels on the dates you are interested in. Marriott has dynamic pricing so a hotel could be 50,000 points in the dead of winter when demand is low and be 54,000 in summer meaning you couldn't book it because it was above 50K.
