I would say Trump's victory was not a landslide, but to say it wasn't resounding and in a dominant fashion is just your TDS boiling out...

Trump won a clear victory, fair and square. No denying that. I am rooting for him and hope he goes down as the greatest president ever and brings China down, repairs everyone's relations with Russia, solves the Middle East problems, etc...

...But I have my doubts. I fear we are in for a great deal of financial pain and damaged international relations. I hope I am wrong. I am also glad I have no plans to retire any time soon.

2 year auction was below average slightly. Foreign purchases were quite a bit lower than normal and domestic purchases were higher than normal - directs particularly strong..this group includes institutional investors. Different result than the 20 year but it's also an apples/oranges comparison as the 2 and 20 year buyer is a different group.

5 year results in a 1.0 bp tail compared to an average tail on the last 6 auctions of 0.1. The tail is the comparison between expected yield on the auction and actual..the actual yield was lower which means it was a stronger auction than expected.

Direct purchasers above average, indirects below average.

I still think this is foreign buyers going to the piggy bank to raise local currency...as recession fears increase and the economic pains manifest, I think we'll see indirects pick up again.

7 year was meh. Tail +.2bp compared to -.2bp 6 auction average.

Bid to cover was a good bit higher than previous 7 year auctions so there is still strong demand.

Much to the chagrin of those that want the USD to lose, 10 year auction results were outstanding.
