How long do you want to ignore this user?
Good day,

I have a large client that has team of approx. 6-10 people who work with us directly. I would like to do something nice for them to show appreciation. In the past, I have gotten them all hotel rooms and taken them out on a sunset cruise and dinner. I am looking for other ideas now. Budget 10k.

Anyone got any great ideas?
What was the best corporate event you have ever been treated to?

TIA

No ideas, but I'm happy to throw my hat in as a test client if you want to give a few of your ideas a run through and get feedback.

great call on spouses.

Broadmoar in colorado springs. Golf and SPA there with plenty of sight seeing. It won't be hot so if you are in texas that could be welcomed. Give a gift card to shop

Lots of clients have strict entertainment rules against gift cards as many companies consider it the same as cash.

Take them to the F1 race in Austin and stay in Fredericksburg do some winery tours and go to Garrison Bros.

These threads always surprise me. Yes, gift cards are an immediate no for us.

But even trips are not generally looked at favorably at my company. Anything overnight automatically requires executive (I think CFO) approval.

Now, if the 6-8 that you're entertaining are ELT than obviously they can do whatever they want.....

For 6-8 people, 10k isn't gonna get you hardly anything these days that's "super nice" especially if you're flying them there.

Unless you mean $10k per person.

OP…great username! Kudos!

If this crew is somewhat "western", I wonder if you could find a custom bookmaker to go measure them at the office and make them each a pair of custom boots.

Loosely related... I won a raffle at a conference for a $250 VR headset and I had to keep it unopened until HR weighed in on whether I could keep it.

On the same page as you. The ethical wrangling that goes on around these kinds of things is crazy to me.

I've had to take numerous major clients ethics/gift trainings and whatnot when seconded to them and never understand how any of these get past the line.

I'm always curious about how these legally/ethically work and usually the answers are more in line with "That's just the way its done" rather than showing how they are above board.

And to be clear, I'm not saying it's not above the line, I just don't understand it beyond being just a requirement for business in certain domains.

I really like this idea. It is the leader in the clubhouse currently.

I'll piggyback on the western theme since it sounds like it's your favorite.

Every Christmas at work we do something cool that is Texas related. One year we went to a custom hat maker, and it is an awesome experience. Sit around and drink whiskey in a private setting, get fitted and pick out a hat style, eat some bbq, and then do it all again in 4 mo the when the hats are ready. It's epic. We also did it for the wives.

This past year we got lunch and drinks at Garrison brothers then went to kerrville for an appointment at Clint Orms silversmiths and we all got a custom belt with tooled silver clasps or a custom belt buckle. It's even more epic than the hat fitting.
