Does anyone have experience with the Motley Fool research services? Specifically the one that's $299 a year?

I heard about that on the Bigger Pockets Money podcast and am somewhat interested. I have a few bucks I wouldn't mind playing around with for something like that,

I did it for a year when it was discounted/free via amex plat card.

I thought it was helpful but didn't really impact my investments or approach

I pay for it, I think I found PLTR and ASML through them so those two alone are well worth the annual fee. I only pay about 150/year so maybe I don't have the full sub.

I used Stock Advisor before and learned about DDOG, MELI, CDNS, AXON and others. For $99/year which is what I pad, I found the service to be well worth the while. I'm up about 4x on AXON as well as some huge gains on MELI and CDNS. There were others that I dumped but I dumped way too early as had I stuck with my positions I'd have some big winners.

I have a friend who has had a long time sub, uses their suggestions a lot but for small money. Usually 10 shares. But he owns over 1000 stocks and is a multi-millionaire despite never making over $75K a year. Take that FWIW.
He's always giving me tips, he had some good ones during Covid that I ignored. I should have listened.

They nailed the NVDA pick way back in 2015 or maybe sooner, and those that listened are very likely millionaires today. Had a couple of more really good picks as well, so for $299 per year seems like good information to have at relatively low cost.

For those who have followed them for a while, how many duds are there? Do you have a rough idea of the percentage of successes that are recommended?

I subscribed to one of their "other" portfolios and got absolutely hammered in my HSA. The only one I'd recommend is Stock Advisor.

I don't think they kick stocks to the curb fast enough.
