I joined the waitlist last year and finally got an email that I have been approved. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts about this card?

I am getting tired of having multiple cards for different categories. 3% on everything seems like a great deal. I know to get that full 3% you have to transfer that to your robinhood account. But I assume after that I could just transfer that out to my bank account when I need to use it without penalty?

Let me know if anyone has used it. Thanks!

My Costco card has better rewards, plus their gas is the cheapest in town. And Costco doesn't care where I trade my stocks.

I know Robinhood is large, S&P, and all that, but when I inquired with them as a trading house years ago, they didn't allow Direct Registration System DRS of shares. It's not that I wanted to DRS my ownership, it's just that I wanted to know if they allowed it.....kind of a litmus test. If you can't DRS, does the brokerage really own the shares/have inventory of shares showing in your account? You might want to ask Robinhood if they DRS today. If they don't, you have a question that needs to be answered by remaining at Robinhood. My 2 cents. I'll go back to my hole now. GL

I've had this card since January and it works as advertised. I fully expect the 3% to drop at some point, but that hasn't happened yet. Guess they feel like it's good marketing.

I just sweep the awards every so often over to my brokerage, which is just invested in SGOV to get 4% or so. Serves as a decent little vacation savings account.

You have to pay for Robinhood Gold ($50/year), but there's a lot of deposit matching and other benefits that pay for themselves pretty quickly.

I've stacked it against other cards, and haven't found one that can do better than 3% on everything.

We will wake up one morning and hear that Robinhood has gone the way of Lehman Brothers, so my only advice is to use the 3% credit early and often - no need to let it grow.
