I'm a roofing contractor and something that comes up more and more is if we can offer financing.

The price of roofs certainly isn't going down and even deductibles are out of reach for more and more people.

Any advice on a company to partner with to offer this to our customers? What to look for and questions to ask?

This is new to me so I really appreciate any input.

I'd start with lending platforms that specialize in construction lending. They would probably offer some payment to incentivize you referring them the business. A few options are Acorn Finance, PowerPay, Sunlight Financial, Enhancify, and GreenSky. You also may find a local bank or credit union that does consumer lending to partner with.

Smaller local banks and credit unions may be able to help out.

What CRM do you use? Not in roofing but another home service - our CRM integrates with some financing partners.

Home Equity Lines of Credit typically have no closing costs and are interest only usually for 10 years. I'd suggest to the client this is an option.

I reached out to them but they said they don't offer what I'm looking for.

Had a consultation with a company called Hearth today that looks promising.

Try reaching out to Synchrony bank. They do a Ton of home construction and update lending. I've seen them partner with MEP trades before.

A bit of a tangent but you're probably missing out on some great information about your business. Products like Knowify integrate with QB for bookkeeping but they are significantly better at both customer facing and job costing sides of construction projects. QB isn't a good CRM for a business like yours.

I'm in commercial so don't do any financing but lots of people in the industry that do financing for residential use Christopher Scoville with Improvifi.

I haven't had any clients ask about financing for commercial but I would direct them to their bank if they did.

Edit: the consensus from all of my research when I did a little bit of residential starting out said stay far away from Hearth
