Graduated in December, 1978, and I trapped in December and January. Studied for the CPA exam until May, 1979. Went to work as a derrickman until my accounting job started in August. At that time I took a cut in pay and went to work for a Big 8 accounting firm.

First job after A&M? Taught the Kaplan course for LSAT and GMAT during law school. Crushed both tests at 99%.

Engineering Rotation Program at Motorola Austin, 1991. We got a months pay, a GPA bonus, and a moving bonus (from BCS!). We had more than a month before work started and basically three months pay for two MSEEs. The band School of Fish song about Three Strange Days will be forever tied to that time. A massive kickoff to our most excellent DINK decade.
