Saw a bit about this a few weeks ago, but have not seen much on the update front.

Does anyone have any insight or updates to this situation ?

This explains a lot. My mom's life insurance policy was held by Voya and I filed a claim a little over two weeks ago. They immediately closed the claim for there being no policy and had no intention of telling me they had done so until I called them. After a bunch of phone calls I learned all of their individual policies were spun off to Resolution Life, which appears to be a resurrection of Reliastar Life Insurance.

Had my last 401k with them but transferred it to Fidelity. Glad I did.

I can confirm that my term life insurance policy went from Voya to Reliastar. I had a 15 year term policy that expired when I turned 65. I no longer needed the policy, yet they still contact me in hopes I'll renew.
