I thought McKinizie Green had some good minutes tonight in the 2nd quarter when she allowed Nixon to rest. Only 6 players scored tonight.

Has anyone heard why Morris and Green were out? Or if they show up for Arkansas do we just assume it was a "coach's decision?"
Have not heard but it's possibly related to Covid protocol. Who knows.
So - during Gary's post game interview, he mentioned that due to "protocol" he had 13 athletes available and that all he needs is 7 athletes available to play. Of course this is speculation, but it does seem as if it could possibly be a Covid related issue based on those comments.

I think this is as deep of a team as I can recall us having. I know coach has tended to play 6 or 7 players a lot of minutes, but with the talent we have, no one should have to be playing 30 minutes or more a game. Having fresh players in the 4th quarter should be a real advantage for us against most teams we will play until deep in the tournament.
This is probably the deepest team that GB has had since arriving in Aggieland. In past years, including the National Championship year, he would play at most 6-7 players. This year he pretty much has the whole bench at his disposal---with two McDonald's all-Americans coming in off the bench (Morris and Green).dlbarnes76 said:

Good question. I'm not sure. I would assume so? He just said she's unavailable and they didn't ask follow up questions.
