This makes the Mississippi State game much tougher. Starkey on the radio saying they have a couple girls hurt and sore. Maybe those substitutes need to be used more than they were.
Agreed, although I thought the defensive hustle was much better in the 2nd half. As someone said earlier, too many one on one plays instead of running the offense and that is on the coach.cs69ag said:

I thought Gary's substitutions were a little suspect tonight. Next time they go to LSU maybe they need to take some voodoo magic to get rid of the curse!

Losing isn't fun. Losing to LSU in anything just magnifies it more.

LSU worked harder than we did. Their defense was pretty good. I think they wanted it more than we did. We really struggled to get an open outside shot.

I am glad the loss came now and hopefully the girls can put it behind them and get ready for a Mississippi State team that is also coming off of a loss. Listened to Gary's end of game interview and he took responsibility for some poor coaching decisions. The plus is they will get another chance at LSU when the tigers visit Reed Arena in a couple of weeks.
I said earlier the girls looked out of sync all night, but they did play much better defense in the 2nd half. As for the offense, it seems they reverted to the individual game instead of reversing the ball and getting good movement off the ball. They were absolutely hammered on the boards and that doesn't happen very often. Good news is it is all fixable.
