#1 and #2 only won by 2 points. Yes - stuff does happen. And we all want to see our teams successful. This is a forum where we vent frustration during difficult games and offer praise when warranted. I don't see anything wrong with what has been said. I love hearing all of the different opinions, whether they be positive or negative. Personally, I learn from many of those more knowledgeable than I am about this team and this program. You can still be in support of a team and university and program even if you are frustrated or venting. I like this forum because it fosters communication and a sense of community with regards to this team. People stop commenting when you police and poopoo what the say.

Give the team credit for losing the lead with 4 minutes to go but then outscoring them 10 to 4 the rest of the way. McKinzie Green had 14 pretty good minutes with 3 assists and 1 turnover. I'm glad to see her on the court getting the opportunity. Gary referred to her last season as "my freshman" because she was the only freshman. Then she saw all of these transfers come in and was probably wondering about getting on the court. So I 'm glad to see her doing well.

Good points. I do have questions about this. Obviously Morris isn't back to full strength after only getting 3 minutes of playing time? Any insight into this?

Also, admittedly, I was only able to watch the last few minutes of the game bc of my son's soccer tournament in Aggieland. I watched on my phone - service was terrible - so I just watched updates through ESPN. Every basket they hit seemed to say layup. Was our defense just breaking down? What was going on with so many layups??

I agree without you 100%. This is what a forum is all about. Of course at the end of the day we all realize these are student athletes and no we don't ever expect a perfect game but we do have high expectations which is actually a good thing. It would actually be worse if no one ever commented or expected much from a program. It's like a coach who constantly gets on their best player because the coach expects to see certain things.

Either way, we got a conference road win while not playing one of our better games. Like others have stated, both Louisville and SC almost lost their road games to teams not at the top of their conferences.

Re the layups...primarily by one player in the 4t qtr 3 straight times, and then a 4th time she passed off to a teammate for a layup after driving the lane. Coaches need to clean this up quick. Starkey's D is supposed to be set up to deny this kind of penetration. Whereas Vic's D was into denying entry passes to the wings...called up the line D. According to Coach Blair, both concepts have resulted in similar stats over time.

In addition to the close games by Louisville and USC on the road, earlier Colorado knocked off no. 1 Stanford
at Colorado and Arky beat baylor at Arky.

When you watch our talented, deep team and see senseless turnovers, missed free throws, a flury of bunny shots missed, it sometimes escapes us that our team is not perfect and travel is tiring and the opposing venue is different.

So far at home we have blown out MSU and UK and a decent win over a decent Rice team.
Hope we can continue to be great at home! We certainly have enough challenges ahead.

Yes for sure cs. 5 ranked wins. We certainly seem to rise to the occasion for big games. I want to see our team develop that killer instinct.

This year there doesn't seem to be one superior elite team in the top 10 like in past seasons. I'm loving the parity in the sport. Of course, I'll love it more when we bring home another national championship

The only thing that is a concern with this team is missing the bunny shots and starter minutes over the long haul
Our free throws aren't a problem for most part
Our D has breakdowns just like everyone else has breakdowns.
We have never been a blow them out type team during Blair's tenure for most part.

I'm not in a position to know the specific things they are asked to do by the coaching staff. I agree I would prefer less drama and better visible execution especially on defense. I'll note the recent comments about LSU's defense making games "ugly." Sometimes we only get the chance to respond to the most obvious layer of what's going on.

That isn't to say posters are wrong. I'm delighted by the longer rotations and more PT down the bench in what was a close game. I am not able to reason in my brain if that was related to the closeness either as a cause or by change in result.
