I do not mean to be mean but why is #23 even on the floor? She cannot shoot a lick and everyone knows it! The other Green, number 4 I think, is in my opinion a much better option! At this point I am still not worried and believe we will win this game. However, we need to get a lot more rebounds which we have not gotten hardly at all in the 1st half. Also, we need a better rotation to get some open looks for better shots. What about driving to the basket more to get some foul shots! Wow, I am totally shocked by how this game has transpired thus far. I thought it would be an easier game than what we had against PITT. Does not seem to me that we are being nearly aggressive enough. Better get our act together and quick. Need to sense the urgency and get after it if we plan to win!

First half breakdown:
We have absolutely no inside or post play. None. It doesn't exist. We have 4 offensive options and the post/center is not one of them. They may or may not set a screen?
We are a very average team when shooting as poorly as we have in the last game and a half. That's mainly bc we have no inside option at all. This team reminds me of Arkansas from last season. When they were hot, they were tough to beat. When they weren't, they were awful.

Defensively we haven't been bad. South Dakota is just shooting well and cutting to the basket and somehow our smallest guards end up on their cutting post.

Again - I know cs will disagree, but we have no point guard that can settle the offense down and distribute the ball offensively. Nixon, Hoppie, Pitts, and Wells are all shooting guards. MGreen is just frantic when she has the ball and turns the ball over too frequently.

Having said all of this as an arm chair coach - GB knows infinitely more than me. However, this team hasn't meshed. Lots of individually talented ball players but nothing resembling a team yet.

The big thing is chemistry to me, like you all have said... our timing is off, spacing isn't there, defensive rotation isn't there... everything is off! We are talented and athletic, but not working together! We took advantage of the chemistry Jones, Johnson, Wilson, and Wells all had last season! The girls need to gain chemistry and trust fast! These are games that should be easy wins...

If I were coaching, Aaliyah Patty would shoot one 3 ball and then she'd sit on the bench. If she's not going to the basket to score, she's not playing for me

The announcers just said we got ONLY one (1) offensive rebound in the 1st half and we do not come to sniffing an offensive rebound to start the 2nd half! If we do not start rebounding we lose this game!

And most of their shots are right by the basket or wide open 3s.
We shot better those first few games because of who were playing but mostly because we moved the ball and found a good shot instead of just trying to force a shot.
