If you don't like Blair…you might not have heard he's retiring…

Unfortunately, we know. And it seems like we get to suffer thru a half assed farewell tour of Ls this season. Hope I'm wrong, but fear I'm not.

And I DO like GB, but I liked him better when he had Vic behind him. Haha

Greatest basketball coach in A&M history. Sorry you're so easily disappointed.

The standard was pretty low when he started, you must admit. I'm happy that he's established a good program. Im thankful for a national championship, the one SEC regular season title, the one big 12 regular season title and a few big 12 tournament titles in18 years. Would you care to see the comparison in what Dawn Staley has done at South Carolina in 5 years less than GB?
NCAA Division I Tournament championship (2017)
3 NCAA Regional championship Final Four (2015, 2017, 2021)
6 SEC Tournament champion (20152018, 2020, 2021)
5 SEC regular season champion (20142017, 2020)
Naismith Coach of the Year (2020)
WBCA National Coach of the Year (2020)
AP National Coach of the Year (2020)
USBWA National Coach of the Year (2020)
4 SEC Coach of the Year (20142016, 2020

I'm ready to be consistently great. We should be winning conference titles or in the mix (top 2) every year. With the exception of last season, we are consistently the 3rd-4th best team in our own conference. Either we lower our expectations and are okay with being that type of program or we hire another coach and demand more.

TAMU has a habit of letting coaches in non football sports hang around too long when the expectations of the Aggie nation want more performance. BCS is not a grow old and retire for Aggie coaches who like the environment, the pay, the churches, and their old friends. If they cannot meet high standards then they need to go. It is the nature of the business. Same as the real business world.

I was at the game with a bunch of LSU friends. It was a game that I would categorize as the home team advantage. A&M should win at home. There were a lot of fans in attendance for LSU and it got loud in the 4th. Pressing LSU would have been a bad idea. Their 1 and 2 would have ran wild.

The biggest difference was shooting. LSU made their shots late...we did NOT!

Yes - this is what frustrates me. What is wrong with demanding the best from our highest paid employees? GB turned the program around did some great things, but our program is stagnant. I really hope the teams gives him one last great run. Although I'm hopeful and will continue to support the team, I think most of us can agree we've seen this pattern before.

Yes, your description of the program as being stagnant is on target. Had it not been for a single player over the past few years we would have been well below expectations.
