When she's playing like this, she's a HUGE difference maker.

16-6 Auburn run and Auburn shooting from the line.

Why save the timeouts? We have 4 left. We did this against Florida and just let them right back in the game.

Put Roby back in the game
Was hoping to see a complete game today. The 3rd quarter has gotten away from us.

We were up 26 at halftime. Unsure it's fair to say this quarter has gotten away from us if we still lead by 24.
One day at a time.

Gary coaches to contain and create momentum. Yes he prefers we extend when ahead, but basketball is notoriously streaky and usually it's just giving them a little too much room on D that propels scoring momentum. He coaches offense primarily of course, so it looks like we try to counter offense with more offense. But it's the D that stops swings.

Johnnie knows what to poke and prod and how to take advantage of our rotation and exploit by getting her own momentum players on the floor. Gary is still deep in his bench today and not just because of production. He's training and coaching because of the scoring advantage. Fun to watch the master.

Every game break is Gary Blair throwing treats to us. You have to expect a set play that makes you smile!!!

How would you like to give up 30 pounds to Roby and be assigned to guard her in low post???

Great first half. Second half was a little messy. Good to have a win for sure. Gig'em!

Dominant win that highlighted we have the ability to win games especially with a fully available roster. Need to build on this.

Agree - it is Auburn and we SHOULD dominate this game. Next 4/5 games will be crucial. Can we build off of this?? So nice to see Roby dominate the paint.

I was coaching today and wasn't able to watch! Roby from the stat sheet looked for to have a career day!

As much sh*t as I talk, I'm glad they got the win! What was the good and bad from today?

Auburn very weak with their post players. Still Roby was moving better today and made a lot of shots!

Great first half; came out a little flat in the second. Still a few too many turnovers. Gave away a few too many offensive rebounds but you could tell that was a point of emphasis for this game and they shut that down quick.

Roby could not miss. She could have scored 10 more if he'd played her a little longer.

Nixon had a great game. We need her to play like that every game.

PItts hit some clutch 3s.

The bad was you could see the return to play status meant we had rust issues to sort out. That let them do some chipping away work when a team with less talent, skill, and pride (and coaching) might have given up. Some of that might have been feeling we had it in the bag, too, but we mostly kept extending.

The good was very much seeing all the players on the floor and seeing Blair continue to keep extended rotations to get PT for down bench participants. This is a necessity given the Covid protocols of course, but was very happy to see folks in and getting time and touches. Was clear they were being actively coached on the bench, too, so everything meshed and it felt strong.

And it was a much more satisfying outcome than the Cowboys game…

Gary got his best gift to date. A WIN against a conference opponent! Roby looks like she wants one of those full time post positions And it was nice to have Pitts back!

Still have a problem of getting out scored in the 2nd half. Just have to have a huge lead at halftime, so we don't have to sweat!

Didn't realize Auburn left the floor to gift Gary AND scored more than we did in the second half. I'll have to review that segment again. Pretty embarrassing if they gifted us the game and outscored us in the second half.

I'm glad we were able to close this one out. We were definitely a little sloppy in the 3rd, but the 4th quarter was a lot of our non starters getting action. I would have liked to have extended the lead in the 3rd after such an amazing first half, but fortunately this one was never in question. Did we play 4 solid quarters? No, but we didn't have to against Auburn.

It was interesting to hear GB's comments about Roby and Malone. That was a great bit of info we don't typically get. I was wondering why Malone was starting over Roby, and he made it clear that it was bc Malone was outplaying Roby in practice. Said it was great to see Roby come in and have the type of game she is capable of. I do believe she has some of the best touch I've ever seen out of a 5 at A&M. She does not miss a lot of bunnies and uses the backboard so well on both sides of the floor. She has great offensive fundamentals. Her passing is an advantage, too. I think Malone is super talented but sometimes gets happy feet and little impatient. It's great to have both of them pushing each other. Patty is starting to come into her own as well. She's driving and using her length to make awkward shots. Really like her style. I love Hoppie. She is such a great leader on the floor. Nixon came out and made a statement today. When she's playing like that, EVERYONE on our team plays better.
