We could've gotten it within 10. Green has no confidence in her left hand so refuses to make a left handed layup and Patty puts the ball down in traffic under the basket and gets it ripped.
Yet somehow we can still climb back in this. We just have to convert.
One more quarter to go
Down 12

This is why we need to not trap once they get set up in the half court
We had 3 players trapping one player last time which is ridiculous

We get a little bit closer but just don't have the defense to stop them.

I agree with this and she doesn't seem to have confidence in her shot
I admire her for trying to Fight through adversity but it's hindered us to a point. It also doesn't help that Green can't shoot the three ball well and teams scout that

Thank you coach Blair! Sad to see it end this way!

Looks like she will end the game with 0 points on 0-10 shooting.

The rest of our team shot 45%. Pitts finished with 24 points and Wells with 20.

GB's teams require outstanding PG play and we just didn't have it this year. Oh well....let's move on with the new coach. I support the players and wish GB the best in this new phase!

We need some defense, too. Defense was awful this year for some reason.

The team's recent performance failures have likely erased KBW's opportunity to replace GB. Perhaps the players and assistant coaches learned earlier that she would be passed over and they just quit? There surely is a backstory.

These teams have had poor defense, lack of awareness of ball position, turnovers, and some cases just lower than needed bucket percentage. This year I saw a lot of poor execution in the paint.

We changed defensive coach and schemes -
They didn't adjust

"I took my time with this decision because I wanted to make sure we brought in someone that catered to what our players needed," head coach Gary Blair said. "We wanted someone that could step right in and continue with the development of our young post players. This was of utmost importance to me. We wanted to continue being one of the most defensively sound teams in the conference, while utilizing our athletically ability more. Greg's willingness and familiarity to work with our staff on these things made him a perfect fit."

I truly believe everything Gary said in that statement BUT it's up to the players to execute.....IMHO that is where the ball got dropped.......

I agree to a certain degree, but the coaches are ultimately responsible for the product they put on the floor.
