Serious question. Does anyone know the amount of NIL money available for Aggie women's basketball? I did some goggling and found some interesting figures looking at NIL. I am technology challenged and not an accountant so numbers may not be correct, A&Ms athletics got about $20 million last year with less than 3% to women. So about $600,000 for all the women athletics, All players on SC women's basketball team in 2022-2023 got at least $25.000 for at least $325,000 [13 players] for basketball players., LSU's women's team got $5 million over July 2021 to July.6 2024 or about $1.6 million a year to pay players, It appears to me that our AD certainly does need to do something, get more NIL money for the women's basketball team or Ags won't be competitive no matter who coaches,

Now do softball, tennis, and volleyball.

I refuse to believe it's all NIL when you consider the other sports that are excelling without it. She is one of the highest paid coaches in women's basketball at $1m/year. Are you saying we would be more competitive by paying someone $250k and the athletes more? Have you seen what uclas men's program is going thru right now? The players make more than the coach and have little to no desire to win. They are there to get paid and then they will move on. Listen to the coaches latest post game interview. He has no idea what to do to turn it around.

The program has to be built on a solid foundation with athletes that want to play for the coach and buy into the right culture. NIL might be a small part of that, but it is not the reason we cannot be a top 25/15/10 program.

You may be correct, but think you don't give NIL enough impact. It is pretty much our mercenaries playing their mercenaries,

If this is what we have to offer, just cancel the program and spend the money elsewhere. There is no point in funding a program like this tbh.

Friendly reminder that in Blair's 2nd to last year, we were 25-3 overall (13-1 in the SEC) winning the SEC crown with a head to head win over Dawn Staley's South Carolina squad on the regular season's final day to secure that championship.

I believe we were also ranked either #2 or #3 in the nation as March began.

The following year (Blair's final year) was a mess and the cupboard was bare when he left, but there was only one season that was not "respectable".

I think if Sole got to play her true 2/3 position, she could be deadly. She's fearless. The fact Taylor has her playing point is criminal for any professional dreams.
