I'm softening also (as I always do). I REALLY want this staff to succeed. The athletes they are bringing in certainly seem to be a change from what we've had in the past. She is recruiting 1) character 2) EXPERIENCE...we have struggled because we just do not have the experience to compete. This will be a defining year for Joni. It seems NIL is turning in her favor, and she's slowly figuring out what she needs to grab in the portal to compete. NIL is not what it needs to be, but it's improving.

I think maybe based on their stats I'm saying that. They play and play hard. And 2/3 of them were all conference or athlete of the year at their current school.

I appreciate the optimism but most of these girls aren't upper echelon SEC talent which is what you need to have to compete in....the SEC. This roster may when 10 games as it currently stands. Let's see.

This might take several years to play out. The House settlement could be finalized this year and both Trev and Elko have clauses that require renegotiation if the school is forced to employ student athletes. There is very little reason to make changes in the very near future. Way too much uncertainty.

it all comes down to the coach! There's a reason all her players leave her. She's not a leader. She's bringing in mid major players who are used to scoring a lot against poor competition. There is no culture here, no vision, no leadership. Not with Joni still running the show.

Trev makes sense as the AD, but why would Elko's contract call for renegotiation? I'm not doubting you I'm just not sure of the rationale.

He wants to make sure he's the highest paid employee in the football program?

Well it's quite obvious now by their play, that several of our athletes had one foot out the door after AC's season ending injury. Maybe with an older group incoming they will play with more authority and actually play like a team.

I like the array of international players we have, with national team experience! Definitely can bring some fresh energy into SEC play.

Talia played for France's U17 national team at the FIBA World Cup last summer and had a stellar performance vs Egypt: 17pts +36 (+/-) 3/4 3pt.

This truly is a new beginning. I feel like Lauren, Janae & Vanessa will be hungry for a redemption season too!

12th man is cheering you on ladies!

I am definitely intrigued, some decent pieces. You can tell there is a new energy for this program that we haven't seen prior. Guess we will see if it truly pays off in her last season
