Horrible, another disappointing season coming.
To be fair, most of us expected this. Poor transfer class paired along with poor returners. If we had a few others like Pryor, I'd have hope. She has not help
But we don't. And she can't hold on to the good ones. So where do we go from here?
I'm not sure but I'm more pissed I paid $20 to watch this bull ***** I had slight hope for the season, but now I'm down $20 and 2 hours of my life
Yeah - it's very frustrating. I'm sure the sunshine pumpers will be in here soon enough to give us that good ol pep talk. I'm just baffled how we cannot get over the hump. Enough with the excuses. Produce or GTFO.
Year 1, I get it. New Era. Year 2, NCAA with a good transfer class. Year 3, poor transfer class in and out, practically no one left. Year 4, poor transfer and freshmen class with no real thought process on how they fit the scheme. If she makes it to year 5, I WOULD LOVE to know the thought process from Trev.He has done well everywhere else, but surely he isn't stupid. We haven't even signed any elite girls from Texas, which she promised to do from Day 1
This wasn't his hire. It was the last doofus that hired her and then bailed for Ohio State. Trev is just going to let her contract expire. I'm afraid she will be back next year since this is a non revenue generating sport.
But they do get 5% of NIL shares, so I think they pull a little more respect than say, cross country. So I'm curious about that aspect

No, that was an SEC wide decision, not a Trev decision necessarily. Given that she's getting at least $1million for NIL, that should be all the more reason to fire her. Wasted $6mil in salary and another $1mil on NIL roster. If this roster is getting a mil, god help us all. There are two girls worth the money. The rest are glorified P4 walkons
Time to move on. I did not renew season tickets this year. Got tired of the excuses. We are A&M, we have a NC we should be competitive in our conference. No reason we shouldn't be in the top 5 in our conference.

I'm unfazed & still believe in this team - since we're all stating our opinions. UTA's season highlight will be a last second miracle put back against a team who couldn't find their shot in a high school-looking gym.

And we're the team with a top ten paid coach who's in year 4 playing in a high school jv gymnasium because what tournament would want a losing irrelevant last place program in it taking up space. Last year we lost to Texas A&M Corpus Christi, this year we lose to UT Arlington. We're on par with mid major in state teams.
She is 42-53 overall and 11-37 in conference. Joni Taylor is a failure. Disaster in year 1, wins 6 conference games in year 2 and squeaks into the tournament and we lose round 1, most of the team leaves her, last place in the conference in year 3 and most of the team leaves her yet again. Year 4 we add a bunch of mid major players after adding zero impact freshman, get a cupcake start to the season and lose to a Texas branch school who has already lost to Lamar and Missouri State.
The whole world knows she's on her way out, she got her husband on staff so we have to pay them both, she'll take her recruits with her like she did when she left Georgia.

And it was a freshman who embarrassed us and out played our entire roster on their team who grabbed that rebound over 24 year old sixth year Lauren Ware and over someone we payed good money for in Fats Janneh who was the leading rebounder, albeit for an awful team in one of the worst conferences in the nation
But I mean our words mean nothing, we finished dead last in the conference last year and willingly decided that we wanted to endure another year of Joni Taylor. We did this to ourselves.

Serious question. Who would hire her? She will make an incredible tv analyst / color commentator. I think she just does not have the gumption to fire ineffective staff, and they are sinking her battleship.

Corpus is already ranked in the 300's and that was before a 50+ point loss tonight. Tarleton will be in the 300's too. Kansas State has losses to us, South Dakota, and Green Bay. VCU has 2 division 1 wins.

There are those in this forum that are much closer to the Taylor's, and I ask you this. Genuinely, no shade, I'm curious your thoughts and respect your opinions. Do you believe Joni Taylor actually wants to be at Texas A&M? From the outside looking in, it doesn't appear so. Yes, she is calm, cool, and never one to overly emote in most cases, but I just feel and see a bit of indifference (going thru the motions). She says all the right things, so in that sense she represents us well. However, her actions/results say otherwise. No matter how well liked she is, in year 4 on the job, what company/university would be ok with a 23% conference win rate and 40% overall win rate (combined)?
I personally think we have some very good players on this team. To their defense, they do not seem very well coached; quite frankly, they seem lost and scattered and dazed and confused in Joni Taylor's systems (if they have systems). These are experienced girls that have done well in previous programs that would compete with the likes of a UTA or corpus etc. The elite players run from her after a year or two….whyyyyy?
Objectively, the only thing I can come up with at this point is indifference, incompetence, or this is happening on purpose.

This energy is not it lol, I'm out TexAgs. I've shared my words, I'm going to support our team elsewhere. Surely some of you are happy about that, love my wild Aggie fam.
No matter what, I hope we can support the Aggies wearing our name in the PRESENT moment, and take the fanbase-GM talk to the offseason. I know we love to prove how "right" we are, and there seems to be a subconscious payoff, but have you considered what impacts the NOW moment? OUR team playing right now?

I'll never forget the first time I sat in the 100s at Kyle Field, I was horrified by what the older Ags were yelling at the players. Big vibe shift from the third deck student section hahaha.
