I have a property in College Station that I'm considering installing a 2500 foot long precast concrete wall for privacy. I'm trying to determine the cost. If you know the ballpark cost or know a supplier in the area, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
There were no bids. ~25 hours from posting a question to already receiving a couple bids…Howdy Dammit said:
Out of pure curiosity, what were the ballpark bids. Lol

WTH is on the other side of the fence?
Also, it seems like it would be much more cost effective to fully enclose the place where you really want privacy rather than providing privacy to one side of all of the property,... I don't know what the situation is though.JobSecurity said:schwack schwack said:

I'm curious too. 8' isn't enough for any kind of effective noise barrier and that's the only reason I can think of to use concrete over something cheaper
State jobs are semi competitive bids. You've got to have good numbers out of the gate. The padding comes in change orders, rework, and schedule delays.golf05 said:
Thank you for the replies.
I would expect the Txdot bids to be padded some since they are state jobs.
I'm looking for a wall similar to the ones that are around many subdivisions

Sounds cheaper to plant a ton of shrubs / trees
