Considering building on my place west of Austin in Burnet County (Bertram - Oatmeal area).
40 plus acres raw land carved out of a larger ranch. No restrictions. Hwy frontage. Varying topography (over 60 feet of relief, several dry creek features to potentially cross, with flat areas to build). Need to figure out approved entrance off FM 243, ranch road options (over 1000 feet from Hwy to build location), and utilities. I am very early in this process.
We currently have a David Weekly home in Katy that was built in 1994 and we are very pleased with the construction. We are not the original owner.
I don't know how David Weekly is rated now, how they do in the Austin area, and what it is like to deal with their build-on-your-own lot group. I'm not married to this idea so if there are other reputable options or recommendations I would be grateful for suggestions (builders, architects, etc).
Thanks
