What are the options in Brazos county for obtaining an exemption on 15+ heavily wooded acres? Bees?

Most people that do bees do it because they have more than 5 acres but fewer than the minimum set by their CAD for a traditional Ag use tax valuation. In many counties that's 10 acres plus the space for the home, but in some it's much higher.

It will be hard to make whatever you choose pay for itself on 15-50 acres unless you're intending to get into something intensive like vegetable production, but when you factor in what you're not paying in taxes, you're still probably coming out ahead compared to not having an ag use valuation.

Need 16 acres in Brazos for wildlife exemption. I would think you can convert from bees to wildlife, or least what I have been told

A conservation easement? It does not have to be perpetual. What is on your land that might be considered important to conserve? Box turtles? Texas toads? Horned lizards? Any type of wild flower? Any historic structure or graveyard?
