Those "instagram" pictures get people in the door. Sure they can change their mind then. But a lot of people will look at these pictures and just scroll to the next house, IMO.
ETA: there is also a difference between overly edited and filtered pictures and quality pictures. Lighting, angle, camera/lens, etc. all make a huge difference
