For the first time that I can remember (maybe 7 years), O'Connor & Associates were unable to get our appraised value down - not a single red cent. My dad had the same result and several of my customers were kicked in the nuts too. This is Brazoria County. Any results from other counties?

Bastrop County cut mine by $70k by just showing up to the informal hearing. You can see that our housing market is slowing down based upon the data in the other thread.

I'm in Harris County and have been using BR Lawson for the last 5 years. They've been relatively successful in the past, but not so much this year.

They got my Market Value down, but was still more than a 10% increase, so my appraised value didn't change. Original market value increase was 25% and they got it reduced to 12%.

I always do my own protests. Honestly, my appraised value was already so low that I knew I didn't have a snowballs's chance in Hades of fighting that 10% increase. I consider myself lucky that I was able to protest my market value and get it lowered, but I'm still in for another 2 years of the max 10% increase to catch up. But that's better than what I was looking at with HCAD's original 2022 market value.
