Just curious, if someone buys say a 2 acre property in Fort Bend County (Richmond) and wants to put up 3 different buildings/businesses within that 3 acres does anyone know if a replat would be required?

(I do have a call into Fort Bend planning as well but have not yet heard back and just curious in the meantime)

Would you be creating three tracts and selling them, or are you going to own everything?

Either way, it probably will.

You said replat. Is it already platted? Is it 2 acres or 3 acres? Are you buying more than one tract?

Yes 3 tracts, keeping 2, selling the third. But the 2 we are keeping will be separate addresses.

You will have to plat it to subdivide a larger tract and sell tracts that small. But it isn't entirely clear to me if you are buying one tract or three.

I assume he just means platting in general and is buying one tract to subdivide into three

Yes, correct.

And finally did hear back from planning...it will require a replat. Thanks for the input guys!
