Our builder is reporting that all Central Texas concrete providers (north San Antonio and New Braunfels areas) just increased their pricing by $4 cy plus a fuel surcharge. I assume others are seeing this.

For those of you in the construction industry, any idea if this increase is around to stay a while, or is there a chance they may moderate in the next 6-9 months?

I work for a builder in that area. We are on our 4th and final price increase for 2022. So yes, it's a real thing but at least should be done for this year.

Our indication from ready mix suppliers is that the increases are indeed done for the year. Cement (the ingredient) was in short supply but that seems to have calmed down (at least I am hearing less about it).

Industry slowing down but that means less increasing for now not price reductions - maybe middle to late next year for that.

All concrete around Taylor is tied up going to Samsung - we are getting the leftovers and have to schedule weeks out...
