Converted my first home purchase from about 5 years ago into a rental property in February of this year. There seem to be a lot of tools out there that are geared more for property management than actual accounting and tax preparation. Does anyone have any recommendations? Really just care about doing the accounting side of it properly and being ready to go for tax purposes when that time comes next year. An easy import into turbotax would also be a big bonus. Reviews I've read about quickbooks are they it just isn't really built for rental properties. Thoughts and recommendations?
