Is your goal to try and get the property on a leasing schedule like most rentals in the BCS area where they are leased from July to the next July? If so, would you entertain longer leases like 18 months?

Or is there another reason for the 6 month desired leasing term?

Yes, they would actually prefer 18 months for that reason. The landlord is looking for 6 or 18 to keep it on the schedule.
