My dad recently passed away and I will be looking to sell the house as the estate executor. I've already had the probate hearing last week and am expecting the letters of testamentary in the next couple of weeks.
I am looking for someone familiar with the area and process for selling under these circumstances. It's a mostly original older home (1986 I believe) that will likely need some repair work done (exterior wood/siding, plumbing, drywall, etc.), so someone with contractor contacts would be helpful, as I assume putting some money into it will be better than selling as-is to one of the people sending the flyers in the mail. It's a relatively low value home ($167k MCAD appraisal), so just looking to make the most of the situation.
I live somewhat close, but it's a 1+ hour drive each way, so being able to handle some things remotely would also be helpful. I'd appreciate any advice or recommendations.
