Howdy TexAgs ... Gabe Bock here wishing you the absolute best as we head toward the greatest tournament in sports! In all my years spent covering sports, I am convinced that there is NOTHING in sports that is more fun than the NCAA Tournament when your team is in the fight. And our team, Buzz Williams' Texas Aggies, are in the bracket for the first time since 2018 as a #7 seed and headed to Des Moines to get the Madness started this Thursday vs. Penn State.
Yes, A&M was under seeded and clearly crammed into the 7-seed in an effort to set up the A&M/Texas round two matchup that they tried to do in 2016 before Northern Iowa hit a half court buzzer beater to beat the 'Horns in OKC. What happened two days later, well, I think we'll remember forever as stuff of legend. And this year, with no truly unbeatable behemoth in the Field of 68, there really isn't a team in the tournament that A&M can't beat if the Ags are on their game! Exciting times, to say the least.
Megan and I - and our team - thought it would be fun to do our own little March Madness challenge with you guys exclusively here for our friends at TexAgs. Two different games and two ways to win...
1. Predict the Final Four, Championship Game participants and National Champion. Everyone who guesses it perfectly will enter to win a set of Apple AirPod Pros. This is all or nothing so pick wisely!
2. We've got a second little side contest featuring A&M's run in the Dance. Predict the exact number of points that Wade Taylor IV will score in the NCAA Tournament. Everyone who guesses perfectly will enter to win a $100 gift card to The Republic (owned by fellow "Wade" ... Wade Barkman). If nobody guesses Wade's point total perfectly, the poster who gets it closest to the number will win the gift card!
