Long-term Lease Agreement - Advice to Verify Income

I have a prospective tenant interested in renting a house from me. Here are the facts:

Tenant - Husband & Wife
Wife - Incoming medical student
Husband - Works from home in cyber security
Wife's salary - disregarded as student
Husband's salary - $150K+ (per offer letter)
Wife's credit - 749
Husband's credit - 795
No kids
Pending lease - $2,550/month, 2 year lease
Husband - started a new job today with a large company. Employer requires online employment verification through a 3rd party, but he's not in the "system" yet since he just started. HR refuses to sign employment verification, insisting he goes through the 3rd party verifier.

What would you suggest they/I do to get this lease signed? Additional security deposit? Fee to "hold" the lease until he's in the 3rd party verifier's system? Something else? Tips and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Nothing to offer except I would work like hell to get them signed, sealed, and delivered. If you dealt with any of the morons I have had the pleasure of renting to you would understand.

Agreed. Offer letter plus those credit scores and id be good. If it makes you feel better, ask for last months rent up front.

3/2 2450sf in the burbs with a pool here and I just leased it for 2995 and had 4 apps inside of 4 days.

Signed lease tonight. I added a clause to the lease requiring employment verification.

but what was the clause?

if the lease being approved is predicated on employment verification, why not just verify employment prior to signing lease?

I guess my real question is: did they put some sort of deposit at risk if they aren't able to verify employment?

If so, good deal for you. If not, you've given them free control of your property for a period of time.

Lease starts June 25. Says landlord can cancel lease June 1 if employment is not verified. All happened the same day, so really a non issue at this point.
