Trying to get my house ready to sell and I need to order new appliances. I don't know which price-point to choose.
Full rennovation with a target sales price is about $375,000 and I'm told the appliances have to be stainless.
Location: 77084
Size: 2400 sf
Age 1980

Need:
Range, slide in 30" gas or dual fuel.
Fridge: any size will fit
Microwave: built in
Dishwasher.

Overall question, is do I put a $1000, $2000, or $3000 range? $1500, 2000, or $3000 fridge? $500 or $1000 dishwasher? What would you put in? Gas or dual fuel range? Side by side or french door fridge? What do you think will give me a good return on my investment? Too many choices for me to know what's appropriate for my price points. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Fridge will be min 2.2 if counter depth. And don't skip that if a larger one looks absurd in the space

Any comments on brands? Samsung and LG look to be the cheapest, then whirlpool, frigidaire, ge. I wanted kitchen aid, but it's a lot more expensive than I thought. Would you rather have few more features on a cheaper brand, mid-brand with mid features, or a basic features on an expensive brand?

Why all new appliances? Under $400k is an active price point. Keep it basic and functional. Stainless is all you need. Dual fuel is not necessary. Set a reasonable budget and stick to it.

My personal experience is there are two price levels for appliances. Modest and expensive. Since your selling go modest. We bought a dishwasher 600-700 at HD but next level was twice as much.

Whatever is on sale.

Honestly, nobody is going to buy your house/not buy your house based on the brand of your builder grade appliance package.

Correct. It's new vs old. Old worries folks since they don't know how old they are and when they need replaced

I never buy anything for my house for "investment". I buy it because I want it. I bought an expensive Bosch dw in Jan. Because I am the dishwasher guy of the house. And I can afford it, so why not. I no longer go for the cheapest, I go for what best fits my need but I never waste money. I suggest you do the same if you can afford it. Life is too short to go cheap every time.

If you're selling, why buy a fridge? What if you included $2k in the price to let the buyers decide.

Go with Maytag. American-made, same company that makes Kitchen-Aid and Jenn-air. Good quality to cost and packages can be found on sale at the moment. For example:

People think I'm an idiot or something, because all I do is cut lawns for a living.

I agree. I would rather have 2k to buy my own fridge then to get stuck with a brand new POS Samsung

Thanks for the feedback. Ended up with a LG appliances. $600 dishwasher, $300 microwave, $1900 fridge, and $1900 dual fuel range. Spent a little more on the range since I had a gas line and 220 electrical line already in place. They were offering 10% off everything, so basically no tax. Small chance it could be rented out so I decided to get a fridge instead of doing an allowance.
