When to list around the Holidays?

My wife and I are moving this week. Our current house will be empty but needing the requisite repairs and touch-ups - I expect to take a week or two.

Is it better to list before Christmas to get it on the market ASAP (while potentially still having repairs done), or wait until after the holidays?

Thanks for the input!

I'm mortgage so will defer to future realtors advice but I'd do repairs then list. People want a turnkey home at purchase, for most buyers anyway.

People buying homes in December or January are buying for a reason. And whatever reason does not care about before or after the holidays.

I would list the 27th. People looking will have time to look between the two holidays. You would be stunned how often people start looking right after Christmas. It will be slower than April through June, but those that look at truly buyers.

Get the repairs done and the list…on the 1st or 2nd of Jan. Nothing happens in between Christmas and New Years. Make sure professional photos are taken and organized within the listing

Do the repairs then list. It's better to list *right* than list fast.

I'm not even that particular on date though I would list before Christmas or after but not during that week or so.
