Any insurance brokers on here who have a carrier that will write a vacant home and / or rental owners policy in Harris County. My agent is saying they don't have a single market that will write those policies in Harris right now but surely that can't be correct?

We bought a new house and leased our old one last September. Liere, who we use for other insurance, had nobody writing landlord policies. Goosehead, who we've also used, only had one, and they were crazy expensive.

Did some googling and found Texan Insurance. We got a policy through SureChoice with them.

I will say all 3 of these agents said vacant dwelling was almost impossible to find and if you did find it, it was extremely expensive.
