Hey dumbass-EVERY coach's contract AVERAGES OUT higher than what he's actually paid if you include available incentives. No one includes that when quoting a coach's salary, and nor shoud you.

I'm arguing semantics? I'm arguing reality-you're the one trying to include his POTENTIAL INCENTIVES in his quoted salary, which is incorrect and no one does it. You're doing so to make you sound like you were more on target, which you weren't. And I said he'd be paid approx. $1.5 M/year, while you said he'd be paid $2M easy.

Guess what? NONE OF THAT proves your argument that Tech could afford Leach's salary. The only problem is you're too dumb to realize the logical connection you THINK it establishes doesn't exist. All the evidence, which everyone ADMITTED is purely evidence, points toward the probability that Tech could NOT afford what they were paying Leach. Your rebuttal to that evidence is that, maybe, could be, Tech might have some money "stashed away" somewhere to pay it. Funny how that special hidden slush fund hasn't been tapped to pay for the myriad of things Tech has fallen behind on in recent years. Amazing isn't it?

Well seeing as how an organization can give a lower base salary and add a bunch of incentives to make the org less obligated if a coach doesn't reach the goals (instead of the Leach method where he was paid a chit load for doing little and little incentive for doing a lot)...why would TTU bring in a new coach and have ANOTHER heavy salary instead of flipping it around?

Here we go again....

Let me throw this out there... How do teams like TCU, KU, etc afford their coaches with salaries over $2 mill and little ol TTU, who has a budget bigger than both, not afford Leach at roughly $2.6mill? Before Mangino was fired, his contract was at $2.3 mill. Hell, even Art Briles is pulling $1.8 mill at Baylor. Is that a huge contract? No, but your initial argument was the Tech couldn't afford Leach and would probably have to offer only a $1.4 mill contract to the next coach.

You make no fuggin sense. Your ONLY rationale for why TTU fired Leach when it did is because they couldn't afford him when all the other evidence says otherwise. Leach was fired for insubordination related to punishing an athlete with a concussion for said athlete being a d*ckhead.

There were concerns amongst the BOR about paying Leach a high salary for relatively little production, production being Big 12 titles and BCS games. You are confusing affordability with production.

You're looking at it in a vacumn, retard. Try harder. Eventually, hopefully you'll realize that you lost this argument about 3 weeks ago. That's why everyone's been laughing at your since then.
