I'm not sure if this is a Freudian interpretation or owes more to Jung, but it's a bit interesting that one Texas university attempted to take our basketball coach who took us to the National Championship game, and not long after, another Texas university shows obsessive interest in our baseball coach who has won a National Championship. One succeeded, the other did not, in luring them from the Paradise of the Plains.

What this DOES say is that with fewer resources and athletes with overall less natural athletic talent, Tech is a BEAST in hiring coaches.

While I'm disappointed that A&M has fallen to the #66 spot in the nation, there's a reason why we are ranked so far ahead of tech (#217). A big factor in these rankings is the success students go on to have after earning their degree.

So and so was going to Tech, but they finally got their A&M acceptance. So they're going to be an Aggie.

Ever heard the phrase "work smarter, not harder"? Some of us work circles around others and end up with free time here and there throughout the day.

Your job must not be that demanding. When I was treating patients I almost never even had time for lunch. 12 hour day was a good day. If you were diagnosed with cancer you wanted this pizza delivering tard on your treatment team. We had great success with survival and quality of life.
Again, those posting during the day must not have demanding jobs or your just screw ups. Or retired!

I guess aTm is cougar high central in everything outside of fb and wbb. Not even to cougar high 's level in bb.
Couldn't have been a derm. Yeah right. Do you actually do medicine or are you all into the botox, fillers etc?. great friend just retired from derm practice. He spent a lot of his time doing cosmetic stuff. Good money/no insurance but honestly I felt he wasted some real talent in helping people. Lots of skin cancer in Texas as you well know.

Do not do any of that and still teach at Baylor college of medicine where I got all my education after A&M.

And could you have been a derm? You really believe derms do not help people as much as you?

Weird

I think derms can do a great service to patients. MOHS surgery, even just diagnosing skin cancer early is huge. Treating patients with psoriasis, etc is huge for people's quality of life. But I know too many good derms that choose the easy path and do lots of cosmetic stuff. Had a patient tell me they visited a derm for a melanoma check (history in family) and the derm spent less than 2 minutes with the exam. This derm was really into Botox etc. patient was upset.

Only place my mom was called a ****ing ***** was in Lubbock. And I have been everywhere including LSU for over forty years.

What kind of oncologist were you before you retired? Curious why you picked that specialty over derm or ophthalmology or a surgical specialty since you obviously could have done anything you wanted with that tech undergrad degree.

He went to tech. Give him a break.

Surgery. Head and neck cancer was my primary focus. Just got worn out after 30+ years of practice.
