The answer is the yellow line graphic that shows us where the first down line to gain is in televised football contests.

Artificial heart valve?

Smart phones?

Self-driving cars?

Wifi?

It all comes in second to the yellow line graphic in terms of sheer number of lives it has touched.

That line is huge. Sometimes the chains are still required, right?? Thank goodness those guys didn't lose their jobs.

how about the recently added perforation on paper towels. now you can use quarters. a real slap in the face to the business theory of planned obsolescence and coerced usage and consumption.

I've always admired the pure genius of the automatic hand soap dispenser. And the commercials showing how many germs are just waiting to invade your hands on the old fashioned pump dispensers.

Lord knows you should avoid getting any germs on your hands before washing them.
