I have a friend who recently spoke to Hal Sutton about a new course/development somewhere around Columbus and HWY 71. I am NOT referring to the Big Easy. Anyone heard anything about this?

That is correct. I am from Columbus and I think construction has begun but not sure how far along they are.

Hopefully it's as challenging as The Falls!!

It's Big Easy. Fazio design. They had their little 9 hole short course, this will be full course to go along with everything else. Dues to the moon.

It's a separate property than Big Easy.

Negative. Big Easy has expanded but this new property has nothing to do with Big Easy or The Falls.

I'm a member at Big Easy. The new course is called The Covey and was supposed to open yesterday, Dec 16. But we got an email early in the morning of the 16th stating that the opening was delayed due to weather, etc.

I'm confused, so this conversation is about another top notch golf course being built in Columbus, TX? Or we are talking about the new golf course at Big Easy?

I'm headed out there for a hunt Monday morning. Last time I was there (a couple months ago), the new golf course looked amazing.

yes, a brand new course that has nothing to do with the Big Easy is being built outside Columbus.
