What's the best bang for my buck? I'm looking for something small, not too costly, but still reliable. One of the instructors at my course saw that I had my high school golf team using speed sticks and encouraged me to pick up a PRGR handheld launch monitor so I (and they) can keep track of their swing speed. It's quite cheap and supposedly pretty accurate.

I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions and why?

I have the SwingCaddie SC300, which i purchased used, and it gets me enough detail for what I use it for.

Not angle of attach/swing path but for $250 I can't complain.

checking in to not recommend the rapsodo. I returned mine. It was very inconsistent.

I have a Rapsodo. Used it 4-5 times and it rides in my truck console the last 2 years. I just always want to hit my own balls with it and not waterlog range balls so I never make the time like I thought I would. I do like it though.

I did see this article today which looks fun but not the same as what we're talking about.

I have the Rapsodo, got it as a Christmas gift. It was on sale for $350 at the pga tour superstore which is $150 off normal price. I like it and have been using it to look into swing changes, for example I now see how I loosen my grip on the club at the top of my back swing so I'm working on correcting that. It's not perfect but within 5% of distances on my clubs. I feel like I'm getting out of it what was paid. Mevo might be better though, I've not used that.
