My son started playing golf last summer. He did a camp in the summer, played in his first league last fall and starts his 2nd league season after spring break. Last summer we were lucky to find someone that had a youth set lying around that was a great starter set for him. Unfortunately he has outgrown that set and we need to step up. Before I go buy a new set, I wanted to see if there was anyone with a gently used lefty set of clubs for an 9-10yo (taller than 52")?

We are in NW Houston (Cypress).

Don't rule out a set of ladies clubs. Little bit lighter than mens clubs to make it easier to swing faster and either play them a tad long or cut off an inch and regrip them.

Us kids... start there and move him into tour series us kids if he starts progressing. Womens clubs wll be too big and too heavy. Don't try to cut clubs down either, will takeout the flex that a junior really needs.

The us kids clubs and tour series clubs are 10 % lighter than normal clubs, which really helps swing technique for a junior.

The worst thing for a junior golfer would be to get them clubs that are too long and too heavy when they are starting out. Shorter clubs are always better than longer in regards to juniors learning the game.
