It wasn't cheating. He was allowed to replace his ball back to its original position but people believe in UFO's and Twitter.

His ball rolled back as he was approaching it to mark. He marked it where it stopped and then rightfully placed it to it's initial spot and moved his marker to mark it.

Not sure why that would get you kicked out of your MGA.

And to further clarify… It wasn't even as he approached to mark. If the ball moves before he has ever marked it, then he can't move it.

He had already marked it and was getting ready to putt, then stepped away when it rolled a bit. So you put it back where it was. Clearly legal and pretty routine for these guys.

Pro tip. If it's a no context, 10 second Twitter clip that looks like blatant cheating that somehow The Masters (of all tournaments) didn't penalize, you probably don't have the full story. Maybe do a little more investigating before running to the internet to proclaim your indignation.

And I'll also add, the PGA has absolutely nothing to do with this tourney. Bang up job all around.

I don't think that's it although I don't disagree.

This is an example of seeing a partial clip of a video and running to the internet and making false assumptions. And not just the OP. This was all over social media.

It's a perfect example of how selective media can dictate a narrative.

If it was all on video people would understand instead making some idiotic assumptions.
