Anyone hear that they have finally gone under and shut the doors on monday?
They've made exactly zero progress on the flood control project at Raveneauxaggiedent said:
We played last Friday on Palm and Post and we observed they had marked out the new greens for 1, 2, and 3 on pine, and were moving large amounts of earth to rebuild the greens.
I think the golf course renovation will move quickly. I think the county flood control project might be a while before it starts.
True story. I read somewhere (maybe even here?) the deal was supposed to be a land swap with the club receiving land located closer to Champion Forest Drive, where they were going to build additional holes and retain a golf course in the area. But that fell through when HCFCD decided in the 25th hour the land they were receiving had less value than was supposedly agreed upon.Willy Wonka said:They've made exactly zero progress on the flood control project at Raveneauxaggiedent said:

Great. Now Blackhorse will be even more crowded on the rare occasion we play there.
I will probably start going to Houston National at Sterling or whatever they call it.terradactylexpress said:

tried there a couple of weeks ago. I got rained out but I tell ya, the first 4 holes were in absolute crap shape. I enjoy the course, used to play it weekly, but it needs work in a big way.AustinCountyAg said:Hempsteadterradactylexpress said:

Yep. Just heard the same. I'm pissed bc my house backs up almost to the course. It wasn't the greatest track around but it sure was great for the neighborhoodDoubleE65 said:
Cy Lakes is closing in December, not sure if that's public knowledge. Will be a housing development.
