Dropped one of my A's to within 3" today. Would have been happy at 3'! Set a personal best on the course too.

Holy moly the lofts on irons have gotten stronger in the last decade.
My 7i from 2011 is 35*
Most 7i I'm seeing now are between 28-30* with Titleist T400 hitting 26*.
Your average PW these days in these new iron sets is 45*. Used to they were normally around 48* and people would have a 52 and 56 to round out their wedges. A lot of sets now include a 50* approach(gap) wedge due to the 45* PW's.
After said roasting, I "attacked" with my A wedge within 3 ft from 92 yards out and flipped them the hell off and blew them a kiss

If you are in the Dallas area, I have a set of Mizuno JPX 919 Hot Metal 4-PW that are about to become my garage set.
I am in Austin looking for a set. How much you want for them?
$450-500?
I have not researched what they are going for yet
I've got a 3-AW set of ZX7s that are about to go on WRX Golf for $700.bowhuntr said:
Started looking at Srixon ZX7 irons. I'm in no rush - might make the switch by next spring.
Two things I didn't realize with Srixon: they don't make wedges under that name (same company also owns Cleveland), and when you look at pros that play their irons, they all play mixed bags. I.e. many play taylormade woods etc. Anyone go down the ZX7 path for a fitting and end up settling on another set?

Used set of Taylormade P790s
790s are the most forgiving club you can get that don't look like a shovel. The 770s are a players club. 790s are game improvement for sure.Hungry Ojos said:aggiebonzo said:

Aren't p790s player clubs? He says he rarely breaks 100. Would these still be right for him?

If you want new and affordable and really good, the pxg 0211 line is quite ridiculously fair priced for the quality of the product. Watch reviews on line. They are pretty sick though liked the look of last years a little better.

I've got callaway Xr Pros...they are like 9 years old
Went yesterday to hit a few irons...couldn't find anything that performed better. Was hoping technology had changed enough to gain .5 club in distance and keep good descent angles. These cast clubs last forever
