Looking into buying some new golfing shoes. Been using the same old pair of spikeless Nikes for about 8 years now. Any recommendations? Budget is under $200. Spiked or spikeless?
Thanks I'm advance.

Payntr. Most comfortable golf shoes I've ever owned. Co-founded by Mike Forsey; he designed for Nike, UA, and FJ over the years including the first lines for Tiger and Spieth

I don't have any but I want to get some payntr. They keep being at the top of mygolfspy's best shoes the last few years.

Have 3 different styles, and I'd say pretty much true to size. I'm usually an 11 and wear an 11.

Actually, the very first pair (001 F) may run a hair small, so I did go with 11.5 on those. One of the reviews I read recommended it and I'd say it was probably right. But the others I have (002 and 003) were definitely true, so I think they tweaked their sizing just a hair to true things up on subsequent models they've been putting out

Yes, that's how I found them in early 2022. I usually walk 36 holes per week and was starting to fight some plantar fasciitis issues. So second half of 2021 and early 2022 I went thru several brands trying to find something that worked better, while also being waterproof (we play early, so it's a must). At least tried on dang near everything. Then I found these online from mygolfspy, took a flyer and ordered a pair, and they were exactly what I'd been looking for. Great traction and look sharp too. Folks are always asking me about them

Big fan of Footjoy Premier. Walk most of my rounds and they are pretty comfortable.

Jordan ADG4. Depending on colorway, could be $120-$180.

I just bought a pair of these Olukai golf shoes and they're great.

They hit the big three of comfy, light weight, and water/stain resistant.

Highly recommend

I play with these as well. Very comfortable. But they will get wet.

I have the non golf shoe version of these, and they get dirty very easily. Besides that I like them.

IMO if you want spikeless Ecco and Truelinkswear are the best with multiple styles to suite your needs.

If you want spikes I think FJ is king, but I have a pair of Puma proadapt delta's, which are there tour type of shoe and they are great. Clean up very easily and are super comfortable. can be had for under $100 now I think with the model being over a year old.

I wear Addidas. Guess I am not as cool as yall. If it is good enough for Run DMC, it's good enough for me.

Me too. I put them in the dishwasher every so often and they are like brand new.

If you dont wear Ecco then eff you!

I have a wide foot and Ecco is the only shoes that works for me. Have worn them for over 10 years without ever wanting to wear a different brand.

PSA: On the topic of shoes, these are the best shoe wipes I have ever used for my golf shoes. They are gritty so they take off mud and dirt.. can get on Amazon prime.

Anyone else find that golf shoes tend to run really long in the toe?

I have to size down a 1/2 size and sometimes feel like they are still too long.

I have a pair of Squairz and I like them other than they are bit on the heavy side.

Not at all... for those of us who don't have short stubby toes... Actually could use some more room around my big toes..

Puma golf shoes are solid. More of a tennis shoe feel kinda guy vs. the hard cased Adidas/FootJoy. What I enjoy apart from the comfort is that the tongue stays centered resulting in a good fit. I've had a number of FJ's that slide to towards the ankle which makes the shoe feel loose.

Squairz advertises more room in the toebox.

Just ordered some 002, and apparently they threw in a free hat. Looking forward to seeing how they feel.

I was looking at golf shoes the other day just for the hell of it (don't really need new ones, I've got like 6 pair). When the hell did they get so expensive and why (particularly spike less)? FJ spikes were always pretty steep but now it seems every other brand has followed suit with pricing.

Walked 4 rounds this week in California in my New Balance 997 spiked shoes. They felt great. Not stylish at all though

Am I the only one around here who doesn't wear golf shoes? Or a glove? I wear New Balance cross trainers and have never had an issue with my feet slipping. Very comfortable and not expensive.

My experience with golf shoes is that the shoes themselves last a looong time... the rubber spikes do not. So the last pair I bought were FJ's with replaceable spikes.

So far so good

And I'm not looking for something waterproof. I just need shoes that repel water enough that dew doesn't get my socks wet.
