So my connection at Bluejack came back and said he can't get me on in late June. What's they next best place to take a customer in the Houston area?

Best public course you can get on for business would be Golf Club of Houston Tournament course

Highland pines is great.

I work industry w connections at Oaks, Bluejack, Royal Oaks, Carlton Woods, etc.


And everyone I know wants to play highland pines. I don't know if the place has great layout compared to others, but I love going out there. Great course, great shape, zoysia, club house is a trailer. Very few homes on it. Just a fun place to go while it is new.

You know someone who can get on at Lochinvar? I realize you didn't necessarily imply, but that's a pretty exclusive club to mention, no?

Yes I do know a few guys at Lochnivar but in the post above I was just giving recommendations on places if the OP wanted to ask his Houston connections about.

I understood the post. Was just captivated by the Lochinvar reference. You been? If so, how is it?

I have played Bluejack about 3 times . I look into Lochinvar

Carlton Woods is redoing Nicklaus course right now so all the play is at Fazio w restrictions on guests.

Lochnivar is a men's only club. I got to play it once a couple years ago. The forecaddie told us one of members out there is Jim Crane. He brought the 2017 World Series trophy there for them to see. A lot of NFL and baseball players play there as well. A very exclusive club and wish I was a member there!

I know/friends with several members at houston oaks (i can count to 5 before having to think hard) and I know over a dozen members of Blue Jack (without having to think hard.)



I know and have met ZERO members of Lochinvar.

25 years ago, I got to make a sales call to Lochinvar - mostly, it was my manager who I was riding with showing off....they had done some work there and we dropped in.

I had never heard of the place and was pretty impressed.

It was made known to me that the Lochinvar membership has 2 rules that are absolutely abided by and pretty much anything else goes:

• Men only - I was told that our female designer wasn't even allowed on property to see the final work
• Must wear pants in the dining room

Butch Harmon was the Pro there for a very long time, but picked up and moved to Las Vegas after taking some heat over the "Men Only Policy" when Tiger turned pro and there was a Nike commercial campaign where he voiced over "there are still some clubs where I can't join due to the color of my skin"

Greatwood thrives in the summer heat

I really enjoyed Woodforest when I played it a few years ago. It's kind of in the boonies, but not as in the boonies as Bluejack.

Used to be one of KJ Choi's go-to courses if I remember correctly.

Which of these is easiest to get to from Bush airport?

Highland Pines is phenomenal. I cant wait for them to get all the infrastructure built. They started on the clubhouse last week. Hopefully a cart girl is next.

Lochinvar is similar to that of Preston Trail Golf Club in Dallas but Preston Trail is more exclusive. They're in another tier. I know a member at Lochinvar but I don't think I know anyone at PTGC.

Think Woodforest went private. Really enjoyed that course as well, particularly the back nine.
