Anyone played it? Not a lot of Big Island Golf posts in the searches. Played Kapalua last year, but we're headed back to Big Island only this year. Want to play twice and Mauna Lani is next door. What else is top pick I can get on? Probably Mauna Kea?

I haven't played Mauna Lani, but Mauna Kea is the best course I've ever played. Even though its not as private/exclusive as other courses I've played, to me it is the perfect combination of fun, challenging, and beauty. I'd definitely put it on my list if I were you.

If you'd also like to work in a (relatively) cheaper round while in that area of the island, the course at Waikoloa Village is a good option. Not as beautiful as others in the Kona area, but a chill, fun round on a course that goes through a neighborhood.

I've played it 3x…great track with fun views.

It has one of the best ocean par 3s on the island. Loved the course. They had an attractive replay rate as well. I played 54 holes out there a few years back in 8 hours. 1 on south and 2 on the north due it having no one on it. Have been back a couple of times and always able to get a replay.

Hualalai…..just not sure you can get on without staying there….

Also played Mauna Kea last summer a couple timesand it's exceptional…. Fairly easy to get a time through Tee Off or other platforms and the rate is reasonable for the quality.
However, if it's going to blow 30+, I'd take a pass…. The course is not really designed to accept low running punch shots and it becomes almost unbearable.
