I have a sure-fire way of deceiving myself about how poor a putter I am. You see, I measure the number of 3-putts I have in a round. If it's sufficiently low, I'm the world's greatest putter. It conveniently hides all the 2-10 foot putts that I didn't make on first putts, and I can carry on with the charade that I don't need to practice putting.
