Tried looking for the old thread where people had suggestions. Looking for something so I can lessen the sunscreen and protect myself.

Thanks

SParms

I have both the sleeves and the shawl. I like the shawl less in the middle of summer but more in the transitional months. They are my go to for any time I am outside even if I'm not playing golf.

Tried the Amazon brands and they fell apart very quickly.

Just out of curiosity as I've been looking into these as well... Do you guys mostly wear these as protection against skin cancer or otherwise? As I get older, I continue to worry more about sun exposure, especially after some skin cancer scares (thankfully all precancerous thus far), but my days of "getting a tan" are certainly not of interest anymore

I 100% started b/c of skin cancer and have found that I feel cooler in the dead of summer. Whether that's factual or in my head, doesn't matter because it makes me more inclined to wear them.

I'm frankly surprised more people don't wear them. I'm a HUGE fan.

You mean you feel cooler temp wise when you wear them?

Shockingly, you do. I didn't believe it until I started wearing them.

Well that certainly makes it quite a bit more compelling

The thing I really can't explain is my putting has also improved since I started wearing them a couple months ago.

I'm having a pair delivered tomorrow. Will try them out on the 4th for the first time. I'll report back.

I use the Amazon brand and the brand Cool Rays. I like the Cool Rays better, but way more expensive than Amazon brand. I really just look for solar sleeves that have no seams.

I too thought they would be hot until I actually tried them. They do have a cooling effect when a breeze blows. I don't play without them now.

Well, yeah, I put them on and felt like they were too tight and couldn't commit to it for 5 or 6 hrs so I put them back in the drawer.

They do feel tight. Next time, try them out for 3 or 4 holes. I found that they were comfortable after 30-45 minutes to the point I don't know I have them on.

I buy from solarbi and like them, I don't trust Amazon crap to actually provide any UV protection

Hate the brand, but the Nike sleeves have been the most durable for me and fit the best.
