The Duke is up about 16k followers on Instagram since I started following him on Friday. I'm not sure what his count was going into Episode 1 but I'd assume he probably had one of the lower followings.

Wesley Bryan was made for this kind of content. Sucks Bob does sports was such an anchor on day 1.

I just finished episode one. Dave not knowing who these guys are or really anything about golf is the best part. Just making rulings based on whatever he feels is what makes barstool great.

He has to be thinking to himself that he could have hired any of these personalities instead of trent and frankie. At least Riggs seems to be a well liked guy and has a ton of connections with pro golfers, but these other youtubers deffinitely outshine Foreplay in both play and personality.

I did like how Dave finally says why he gave Kwon 4 hole penalty instead of the original 2. He said when Kwon showed up late and was told of 2 hole penalty he had a IDGAF attitude/response so Dave increased it to 4.

I didn't know who 90% of these folks were and thought no way in heck am I watching such long videos....but man I can't stop watching. Some entertainment....some good golf....some bad golf....all things I can relate to!! And then there's some eye candy....and they all can hit the ball decent to really good.

Bob is definitely an anchor… but Wes hit some crappy iron shots in alt shot.

Plus… Wes/Bob vs George/Chaz is a really bad match-up for them in alt shot.

Completely agree. Wes had no shot paired with Bob in alternate shot. Chaz is too good. Bob is too bad. One bad shot in match play and the hole is over. And Bob was hitting half of them forcing Wes to try and hit perfect shots and hole outs.

They're guaranteed a shot at the 2,000 per person per hole on the second set of 9 regardless of winning that hole or not. After that the only money that has been mentioned is the final pot. If there's not money available to the final 12 besides the final pot, and you assume each of the final 12 have an equal shot to win that (seems like a fair assumption to me) and they have a 50% chance to win that hole on a replay (slightly conservative estimate considering they won the match) I think the math favors taking the risk, unless you think that one point makes it 3.3x more likely they win the final pot.

Here's the tournament breakdown for anyone curious/missed it.

Day 1: Ryder Cup Style. Two teams of 24 golfers play a 2v2 scramble 9, and then a 2v2 alternate shot 9. Losing team is eliminated.

Day 2: Re-draft, then same as Day 1 with two teams of 12 golfers.

Day 3, Morning: Four teams of three,18-hole alternate shot stroke play. It's at Cliffhangers, which is an 18-hole par 3 course. Top three teams advance.

Day 3, Afternoon: Final three teams of three play an 18-hole alternate shot stroke play match at Payne's Valley. Winning team takes the grand prize to split amongst themselves.

There were some… interesting… pairings.

Dalke is a stick, never rattled, his team whoever he is with has to be the favorite from here on out.

Just watched his break 60 series this morning from my home course Bridlewood. Was the super there for 9 years, redid the greens to current turf, and bunkers, etc. Always cool to watch these YouTubers at a track you used to manage. Played from the "Bob" tees 5000-5500 yards, and was lights out.

Dude never got rattled. He was calm as could be (maybe because he knew they were overmatched?) while his partner was a mess and hitting some bad shots. He never wavered and was supportive of her the whole time. I don't watch GG but became a fan of his.

His partner went from resort employee to having a chance at winning a share of $1.7M. Pretty crazy if she goes all the way

If you only like watching good golf, you really should check out Brad Dalke's & Sean Walsh's channels. You'll get a ton of that on both of those. Brad has a really good break 60 series where he starts from the women's tees and moves his way back once he accomplishes a score in the 50s.

He's annoying AF and literally the only reason he is playing in this tourney is solely because of Bob. Back in the day when Bob was still living in Cali, he got paired up with the Duke on a muni course that he used to always play. He was obviously fascinated by him and how he was actually able to hit the ball with his awful swing. The Duke is certainly no golf Youtube content creator, he's simply a circus clown that Bob came across and invited to this thing.

They as in Dalke's team or Berkshire's team? Brad Dalke could've played with the freakin Duke and that match would've been close. That's how good he is compared to everyone else. I'm honestly shocked that he wasn't picked over Wesley, I think he's better than both Wesley and George, especially when you factor in his length.

Berkshire & Gabby "golf girl" were freaking cringey this entire series, especially Gabby. Funny to see Berkshire not use his driver because he can't control it and then he's spraying his irons all over the place off of the tee. That Gabby chick was just annoying with all of the unnecessary commentary. Classic case of 2 players who think they're in the upper echelon of talent in that tourney that frankly just aren't. Plus Berkshire has zero personality.

She is a Waggle "athlete" as well. Not sure what she gets from them financially, but she is a part of the athlete influencer lineup
